Imoen’s shortbow arrived

I think this will work!

I really like the look of it.

It’s a bit small for a shortbow, though. Medieval shortbows were typically about 3 feet in length. This bow is 5 3/8” in length which at 1/6 scale translates to 32 1/4” in 1:1 scale. The arrows are 4” so they’d be 2 feet long. Anyway it’s on the small side.

Here it is alongside a longbow that I got for Minsc and the bow that comes with Lord of the Rings’ Legolas by Asmus.

So you can see it’s comparatively quite small.

But then again, it’s for Imoen, who at 5’ 4” is going come up about to Minsc’s bicep in height. So I’m hopeful that her small size will help make the bow work out.

Here’s hoping! If not I can always look for another one.
